For a decent answer to your question we will need some more information.
How do you intend to use it.
Flight controller.
Data recorder.
Camera.
Some info about the size of helicopter.
Size (usually expressed in the size of rotor blades, i.e. , one rotor blade in millimeters. So basically radius of the rotor)
Flight Weight.
Lifting capacity, if you can find it in the specs, usually not given.
Battery size, milliamps and cell count.
Controller type, receiver number of control channels available.
My guess is you will need a 450 to 500 size helicopter to carry the comfortably weight. A 250 will not carry the extra weight from my experience. Weight has a big effect on helicopter flight times. These sizes use from 3 cell (3S 11.1V) to 6 cell (6S 22.2V) batteries. Depends on how acrobatic the design is. I will also guess that you will need at least a 7 channel radio for the radio and that will leave you 1 possibly 2 channels for auxiliary functions, that depends on what control functions the helicopter needs. Whether it is a fixed pitch, coax or a variable pitch design will determine the complexity and ability needed to fly it.
Helicopters are amazingly hard to fly well. That is why Multi copters have become so popular. For stability a multi copter has a flight control board. They have gyro's on all three axis (yaw, pitch, roll) and also many have accelerometers as well. That makes them easier to fly. The majority of helicopters only have a single axis gyro to control yaw. A flight control board can be added to a helicopter for easier flying.
The other reason multi copters are popular is their ability to lift weight. And their ease of design and frame design. And in general they are usually cheaper to build.
I would start by looking at the helicopters in Hobby King. They have some decent prices and many sizes to choose from. All of it comes from china so that may put you off.
