Raspberry Pi attaching

Tue May 20, 2014 1:48 pm

Hi guys!

I have a question, I'm new with this technology. So I really want to work with the Raspberry Pi model B 512 MB.
I removed the screen from my old notebook (Belinea c.book 1541), So now my question is: can I connect the lcd screen (with the data plug???) to the Raspbeery Pi?

Greetings,

I never tried disassemble a laptop, however, I just think that data plug is not a normal display port like HDMI, or so? Maybe a TV is easier to plug into Pi.

And how about just run a headless Pi? You could use your old laptop to connect to Pi and work with it.

Only if you can find a controller board to go in between. Something like this - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/F-17-inc ... 04883.html
Except it would have to be compatible with the specific LCD model you have, which is the difficult part.
