So I have a USB wifi adapter that I'm trying to use to connect to my wifi network, and control the raspberry pi over ssh/RDP. Unfortunately I don't have a screen, so I can only connect remotely. To set up the connection, I used xrdp to connect to the pi and opened the Wifi Connection tool. My wifi network gets picked up by the tool, I enter the password, and the blue light on my adapter lights up, which apparently means it had a connection, but when I unplug my Ethernet connection I lose the RDP, and even when I try the seperate localhost connection IP it only works if the Ethernet cable is also plugged in.
Now I'm a huge Linux noob, but it seems to me that my board is defaulting to the Ethernet, and unplugging it screws it up.
What should I do? If anyone needs screenshots or errors, please post below and I'll get it as soon as possible.
