Memory Split

Tue Apr 29, 2014 2:52 pm

I have a new Model B with a camera module. It runs 24/7. I am running Raspbian. It has the latest firmware and is fully updated. It is being used to take a picture every hour and then uploading it to my weather site. It is being run headless, boots to command line and has no VNC server installed. All control is via SSH. What is the best memory split for this. Also should I set a scheduled reboot say every 24 hours?

Best memory split is probably to not play with it; leave it default. You're not storing the photos in RAM, are you?
No need for scheduled reboots. This isn't Windows 95. Linux will run literally for years at a time without a hitch, as long as you don't have any power failures.
