The Porta-Pi: Wearable Raspberry Pi

Tue Apr 29, 2014 1:43 pm

Greetings!

I joined this forum to share my newest building project and brainstorm about how to make it better. This is my first prototype for a project I call the Porta-pi. Have you seen the price of the new smart watch? And its not even smart. It's powered by your cell phone. I believe when I'm finished I will have created the worlds first truly smart watch. Let me know what you think and what I should add. Thanks!

PS sorry about the video shaking. I was holding my girlfriends asleep arm and trying not to trip on my tripod. Also my baby sister wouldn't quit crying. Again, thanks.

is the Porta-Pi going to be wired to a pocket mounted Pi, contain the Pi within the watch or connect wirelessly?

With the schematics I have now, It will be inside the watch. See I figure if it has a USB wifi module, there'll be no need for Ethernet. That will open enough room to mount a battery.
