Sreens

I tossed and turned thinking of screens to go with R Pi and having read many forums on screen interfacing , drivers and such I came to the conclusion that a small (19" LCD widescreen) was the best bet , i got one from "Kogan " for around $150 Australian . It has VGA , HDMI , USB , component video ,
3.5 sound in , and everything else , I know it is not a portable solution but think about it , just about every person I know has a LCD TV at home so if you are moving around all you need is you Pi and a few cables to go portable

I certainly appreciate the input but I believe that most people looking for a "screen" for a Rasperry Pi already know that you can use any HDMI tv/monitor or RCA TV and do a direct connection.

In my case (and I know many others) we are looking to integrate the screen with the device OR use a left over screen (not a full monitor or a full tv). That's why we are having so much trouble with interfacing and such.

Personally I decided to go for an HDMI<->LVDS with a laptop screen for my project. I'm doing all the research to get the right things going.

As a side note... I'm NOT a electronics "junky".. I have a hard time working with circuits and I don't really know what an inverter really does or is. But I have a few friends that are working with me and will help me out in that area. Just a good learning experience for me.
