stability issues.

Sun Mar 30, 2014 1:35 pm

I have 2 piS and one is running a 1 year old version of raspbian and never updated. Its used as nas , torrent downloads, web server. And it works beautifully.
Second pi running latest raspbian. Samba is the only thing running on it. Every now and then it crashes. Tried 3 different SD cards and still same issue. I wonder if its an os issue. Just before I was flashing latest image on this pi, it used to run beautifully for weeks without a shutdown.
Any body knows from where I can get an old version of raspbian.

All older versions can be found here:

However I would suspect other issues like insufficient power supply.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

If the Pi hangs, crashes, reboots or generates kernel panics out of the blue then I also would suspect the power supply being unsuitable.
Since you have 2 Pis and 2 power supplies try swapping them and see what happens.
