Streaming Twitch on Pi

Mon Mar 24, 2014 3:35 am

I'm looking for a relatively simple way of watching Twitch streams on my Pi. I've been doing some reading and I think I need XBMC, but I'm not even 100% on what that is, and googling just leads to answers for people who seem to know. Could someone point me in the right direction here?

Thanks in advance.

Get your RPi running OpenELEC or RaspBMC (or any other XBMC system). There's more tutorials on doing that than you can shake a stick at.

Then install this add-on: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add-on:TwitchTV

Actually I have done that tried. raspbmc and rasplex.

Rasplex the twitch addon does not work at all and with raspbmc the twitch addon is EXTREMELY slow. Takes about 5 minutes to navigate to a stream but once streaming its fine.
