(Using Raspbian) the Pi defaults to UK keyboard layout - I guess you're using a US keyboard (?). The "Internationalisation Options" of raspi-config (
sudo raspi-config from the command line) is where you go to change that etc.

So then I need to set the keyboard to Uk, correct? I have a Acer keyboard , I think its 105 keys, does that make a difference from being 104 keys?
No - you need to tell Raspbian what (country) type of keyboard (layout) you're actually using (via
raspi-config). So, if the '2' key, shifted is '@', and the '3' key shifted is '#', etc. your keyboard layout is US (a UK keyboard would have '"' and '£' instead, plus other differences). There are also options to select the number of keys present. However, for the US style mini-keyboard** I use I "lied" - it lacked the "numeric keypad" a 104/5 keyboard has but, since those keys are "duplicates", it didn't matter.

Still running Raspbian Jessie or Stretch on some older Pi's (an A, B1, 2xB2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W, 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, and a A+) but Buster on the P4B's. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm
