Portable Power

Hi Guys,

I am making my raspberry into a portable product and am wondering what my options are with power. The set up itself is fairly simple, model b pi with two ultrasonic sensors and readings going to an LCD display. The unit is fairly small as it is only the raspberry pi, LCD screen, breadboard and 2 sensors and I would like to keep it that way. Can anyone give me some advice/ links as to what portable power options may be my best bet taking into consideration I need the device not increase massively in size, some of the chaps in electronics have said portable phone packs, ands batteries will even work but would but I wouldn't mind hearing everyones on heres 2cents...

Well, personally, I use this with my portable pi setup

It has a 1 amp micro usb for the pi built in, and a 2 amp USB port. However, I do not know what your power requirements are so it may be overkill, in which case I suppose you could use the mobile phone battery, though I have no idea how that would work.

thats exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, can you give me a rough idea of the dimensions and what your powering with it??

It's a bit bigger than the pi, it's about as long as the pi plus a flash drive plugged into it, I use it for a portable pi setup, with a powered hub and 2 flash drives, wifi and wireless keyboard and mouse. I haven't tested it, but I should probably get about 5 hours out of it.
What exactly are you using yours for?
