repeatability of camera module

Wed Mar 19, 2014 11:33 am

I have taken image of a monochromator source, from the raspi camera module. But there had been a problem of repeatability of the image captured keeping all the parameter constant. It would be of great help if anybody can put light on the possible reasons for the lack of repeatability and how can it be avoided.

Probably a slight oscillation on the AWB or AGC. We are looking in to ways of 'locking' it but at the moment, constant light sources are probably the best option.

this is a possibility even I thought of... but taking into consideration the overall environment remains constant ( the image is taken of a monochromator itself (can be considered as a constant light source at a particular wavelength) in aclosed chamber) other than noise... should software cause a problem to the repeatability??? or it is the hardware gain control and exposure control causing the problem???
