Raspberry PI not saving settings

Thu Mar 13, 2014 10:00 am

Hi, first post not sure if this has been covered, I've recently started running my Raspberry Pi on XBMC Frodo 12.2 loading from a USB stick which has greatly improved speed and stability, however I have noticed that when I turn off the pi my customised settings such as time zone which reverts to Netherlands time for some unknown reason even though I'm in the UK, and shortcuts under the main XBMC headings 'video', 'program's' etc disappear and I have to input them again, has anyone come across this before and if so how can I stop it?

Also I believe there is a 12.3 update available can I update to this on a pi and if so how do I do it manually as the pi doesn't seem to want to do it itself?

Sorry again if this has been covered before.

Thank you
Andy

How are you running XBMC on your Pi? RaspBMC, OpenELEC, Xbian, or by some other means? They could all behave differently under different circumstances.

I'm running RaspBMC Final from a USB hard drive and all settings are retained correctly between sessions.
Pi2B Mini-PC/Media Centre: ARM=1GHz (+3), Core=500MHz, v3d=500MHz, h264=333MHz, RAM=DDR2-1200 (+6/+4/+4+schmoo). Sandisk Ultra HC-I 32GB microSD card on '50=100' OCed slot (42MB/s read) running Raspbian/KODI16, Seagate 3.5" 1.5TB HDD mass storage.

Hi, I'm running Raspbmc on a Transcend Jet Flash 700, the software runs fine just not saving my settings, however this doesn't happen all the time it's intermittent.

Any news on 12.3?
