Hey guys,
I just bought a 7" Sainsmart touch screen display for my pi.
The manufacturer of the screen is apparently eGalax.
My question is based on this image, which is of the control board for the screen,

what is the "12V backlight" connector used for? My screen is quite dim and I'm wondering if this is an external connector to variably regulate that backlight. Any ideas?
