Samsung 64GB class 10 micro SD card not working with rpi

Tue Mar 04, 2014 1:37 am

I bought samsung 64GB class 10 micro SD card and reformatted and put NOOB and powered up, but it is not booting up.
I tested with other rpi 16GB sd card unit I have and it boots up just fine.

I already have 3 rpi units running with 16GB, and I ordered 4 more units for database clustering testing environment and needed to have 64GB size.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks~

Exact same problem here.
I tried updating to the lastest fw using another SD card but no luck.
Is it just a compatibility issue with this Samsung 64GB cards?

The problem is with a volume bigger than 32GB it is partitioned as exFAT and not anymore as FAT32.
And rpi needs FAT32 to boot. So you have format your SDHX card as FAT32.
This can be a solution

A little late but I hope it helps.
