I occasionally like to live on the bleeding edge of technology.
Normally I use Raspbian Wheezy, but would like to try Jessie (specifically GnuRadio) without having to install Wheezy & then do a massive apt-get dist-upgrade.
How soon before Jessie is available on the downloads page?

It is up to the raspberry pi foundation what images they build and put on their downloads page.
Personally I would advise them to wait for the freeze before making jessie too obvious to the newbies.
