[SOLVED] Not helping overscan settings with old tv

Sun Feb 16, 2014 11:56 pm

Hi guys,
I've connected my RPi to a old Philips TV via composite cables and I needed to set overscan. I'm using berryboot with newest Debian in it and I set the config file to top 10, bottom 5 left 5 and right 5 but it doesn't quite seems to matter since it -while booting- works great and then -loading gui- turns back again.
I don't really know which direction shall leads my next steps trough the internet..

Okay. I got an idea it isn't RasPi's wrong behavior, but TV's. And I was right! I messed a bit with tv's settings and found a column called "Picture Format" There is plenty settings how to make it fitting, zooming, stretching and resizing. Now it's turned to "Subtittles Zoom" and it's fitting perfect.
