You might have to buy the MPEG-2 codec for DVD rips or
DVB recordings (depending where you are from). The VC-1 codec
is available for purchase , too (some BluRay rips and .wmv files).
AFAIK only old Xvid/DivX variants are unsupported , the newer
ones should be playable without an extra license at all ( those
codecs are similiar to MPEG-4 , so are already paid for
with purchase of a Pi).
Please keep in mind that you have to check whoch codecs
your files use , not their filename extension or "file type".
A tool like MediaInfo can help there.
