Overclocking?

Wed Jan 29, 2014 8:16 pm

Dear fellow Rpi users,

I was wondering how long I could overclock the Raspberry Pi under these two circumstances, if not is there a way to? ( Both circumstances not at the same time):

1)Keeping it on for over 48 hours using it as a VPN
2)Keeping it on for a large time period, whilst using it as an XBMC media center

My RPi is Model B, with the raspbian wheezy OS. Class 10 8GB SDHC, it has a heatsink and has all the default settings, ie having to input startx upon startup and having the pi raspberry login and password.

Thank you for helping.

As long as you want. You cannot damage it by overclocking. But you will need to run tests to make sure the level of overclocking isn't affecting the stability.

What do you mean when you say stability? And what tests could I run?
