Neither my flat screen TV nor my flat screen monitor has a HDMI connection. Any Ideas

You'll need to provide more details nigelksimmons.

What ports do you have available on these displays?

The Raspberry Pi can do HDMI, DVI (via a HDMI-DVI cable or adapter) and RCA/Scart. I believe it can also do VGA with the correct adapter with processing too.

I have scart on TV. So I presume I should be able to get a scart convert?

Yes, simply get yourself an RCA cable (typically yellow ends) and hook it up to one of those rca-to-scart blocks and you should be fine.

You'll probably want to look into the config.txt file too as these video connections often require some manual adjusting.

You may already have one of these rca-to-scart blocks around the home. I think I've acquired all of mine from various game console purchases over the years :-)

Shall wander into Maplins tomorrow but may still buy from other dealers on line. Thanks for your help
