my setup:
raspberry(openelec) > hdmi > yamaha reciever > tv.
here is my problem:
1. if i turn on tv and reciever BEFORE openelec, the system shows CDC info on detected remote control from my tv. that is good, i can start using my tv remote to use openelec
2. if i turn on tv and reciever AFTER openelec is turned on (or when moving from watching tv from IPTV set top box (which just means switching HDMI channel on reciever)), instead of switching options on openelec, my up/down/left/right buttons now server as moving screen to right position.
i usually solve this by doing:
1. complete shutdown of tv and reciever and turn on again (which sometimes doesn't work)
2. reciever option: hdmi cable > control > here i have to disable it and again enable and then it works)
3. turn off openelec and turn on again.
is there a way so that this setup would just work? i'm going mad of always turn off everything when i want to stop watching iptv and just watch a movie over xbmc? this problem occurs with raspxbmc too, so i think it isn't openelec bug directly- or is it just a setting somewhere?
