Composite Video

Sat Jan 04, 2014 1:28 am

New to the R-Pi world and using composite video. Composite video was working while loading Raspian Wheezy OS. Received message that installation was complete and hit ENTER to proceed. Composite Video went blank. I suspect R-Pi switched to HDMI Video when Raspian Wheezy started. Since I cannot see what is being displayed, how do I change the video output back to composite? I rebooted and believe that Raspian Wheezy is running, but the composite output does not show anything. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, USKeith.

Were you using the NOOBS installer? That defaults to HDMI for any installed O.S. unless you make composite permanent, as shown here: http://www.cpmspectrepi.webspace.virgin ... ellow.html
Trev.
Still running Raspbian Jessie or Stretch on some older Pi's (an A, B1, 2xB2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W, 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, and a A+) but Buster on the P4B's. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm

Thanks very much for your help! I did get the Pi to show video through the Composite output. After a few successful shutdown tests, it still seemed to work great!
Thanks again for your help.
