Installing a remote Controller

Mon Dec 30, 2013 11:51 am

I have just bought a kit: Raspberry Pi Model B 512M (rev2), XBMC Media Centre, Case, Remote, 8GB, Wifi
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261279309880 ... 1423.l2649

The kit does not have a mouse or keyboard, just a Wireless IR Remote Control, where they say "(no additional driver required)".

I've plugged it all together and the TV has the xbmc interface up but the Remote Control doesn't seem to work. So I discover there is a disk in the remote's packaging and there is a folder for Linux. I put the folder onto the SDHC card, but don't know how to install it into the system, with no input devices.

Thoughts?

You may well find that your TV remote will control XBMC, your mileage will depend upon the HDMI features of your TV and cable.

What are the contents of this folder? Without details its difficult to over any advice. Is there a Make file? A README file?
