RPi not booting

Wed Dec 25, 2013 6:43 am

Hi all,

I just received my raspberry pi this afternoon. I immediately downloaded NOOBS to start off with, NOOBS booted and I selected raspbian which unpacked and setup the SD card. Then the pi stopped working, the screen went blank and now only the power led is on. I have tried reformatting the SD card and adding NOOBS back onto it, I changed the power supply and still nothing. My setup is:

-amazon basics wired keyboard and mouse
-output to composite
-sandisk ultra 16gb SD card

Thanks in advanced,

wamj

NOOBS 1.3.2 (and earlier versions) assumes that the majority of users will be using HDMI and thus that's always the default for any installed O.S. unless composite has been made "permanent" at the start of the install process. This is shown here: http://www.cpmspectrepi.webspace.virgin ... ellow.html . Because this "pop-up" has, since "beta testing" been discovered to be confusing to some users, a formal issue (#142) has been raised and the mechanism of "video selection" etc. is "under review". (Yours is now something like the sixth thread raised in the forum).

Still running Raspbian Jessie or Stretch on some older Pi's (an A, B1, 2xB2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W, 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, and a A+) but Buster on the P4B's. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm
