extra GPIO pins

hi i am wondering if there is a way of attaching 2 or more components via GPIO pins

It depends on the components, which pins they use and how they use them.

Some components use the 1-wire bus on gpio4. Several can be connected to just this single pin.

Other devices may us the I2C bus, PWM or just plain I/O connections.

It would help if you told us what you plan to use and how :)

As they are specifically designed for the Pi market they should work.

Unless I've misread that site they seem overpriced for what they do. You can get motor driver boards for a few pounds.
