Download SD formatter and reset card size and reformat.

Chances are the card has got linux partitions on it and you are viewing the card under windows which doesn't see the partitions.

Your problem descriptions is unclear.

Questions include:

1) What exactly is "it" (in "it said no space...") ?

2) What is the overall goal? I.e., if you could snap your fingers and have all your SD cards setup in a certain configuration, what configuration would that be?

Whats reporting no space left?

If all the partitions were removed and reformated then its impossible that there is no space left.

Exactly. So there's clearly a "translation error" here - OP is not understanding some part of our instructions to him.

Of course, the answer could well be that the partitions are formatted ext4 (or similar) and he is using a Windows machine to test.

Even if the partitions were ext4 - SD formatter will trash all the partitons when you select clear size format or something like that under options.

So you used the formatter from the quick start guide, and you remembered to set the Format size adjustment ?
I would imagine the default is 4GB so you first need to go through each step and try again.
You put noob on it which will fit, but when you come to put anything else on it, the program reports there is not enough space. ?

I strongly suggest you go back to the start and try another format

Type

sudo raspi-config

in LXTerminal on the Pi and click on

expand rootfs

, which is the root file system). You might need to format the SD card to the correct format, I think its fat32, not exfat or ntfs, etc.

Use the tutorial that comes with Noobs, e.g. use SD Formatter or the Disk Utility in MacOS.
