vpnbook with raspbian

Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:57 pm

Hey there!

I've been trying to connect my sweet Pi to the services of, but somehow I'm not quite getting there. I'd be very happy if someone could help me or point me in the right direction (actually I'd consider that helping as well, but never mind ;) ).

What's my setup: A Pi (obviously) running Raspbian (completely up to date) and OpenVPN installed. It's connected to my home network via a WiFi-Dongle.

What have I done: I've followed this guide step 4 and tried connecting to VPNBook with OpenVPN.

What has happened: Unfortunately not what I intended (obviously ;) ). I've narrowed it down a bit (or so I hope): I (or at least the Pi does) lose my WiFi-connection. I guess(!) the Pi decides it doesn't need it anymore after connecting to the VPN. But that doesn't work too well. :)

So if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share them!
Many thanks in advance!

Alright, I've found that I'm not the first to run into this problem. ... t-in-linux

I've tried this solution, but it didn't work (for me): ... th-openvpn

So I'm still searching... :?:

Return to “Raspbian”
