SD Card to HDD?

Thu Dec 12, 2013 3:43 pm

Is there an adapter that will go from RPi's SD slot to a hard drive?

No.

You'd need a lot of electronics to convert from SPI to SATA (or IDE).

I figured it'd be a cold shower.
I keep getting corrupt filesystems.

I also keep getting this bootup message saying that the first partition of my SD card was not properly unmounted.

I took the card to another computer and fsck.vfat -a it and still I get the same message. Its only one line and it scrolls up so fast you would never know it.

Shutdown before you pull the power off.

Simples.

Move the root fs to a USB HD. Then the SD card is only used for booting and never written to, except when you do a system upgrade (rpi-update).
