Piface Outputs Always Carry 3.7VDC

Tue Dec 10, 2013 5:19 am

Can someone tell me why my Piface Outputs are always carrying 3.7 volts. If I have LEDs on a breadboard connected to Piface outs, and to the ground in, they Light up as soon as I power up the Raspberry Pi. Weirdly enough things like stepper motor controllers and such seem to work just fine. I also have a IR motion sensor connected and that seems to be working just fine, but also reads, when their is no program running. I happened to see the input reading while I was running the handler for scratch? I wouldn't think the anything should be getting a signal with out asking for a digita_read. What did I cook? :?:

That question is actually explained pretty well in the PiFace Gettting Started Guide. See page 6: Output Ports.
