Midori Issue [solved]

Hi All.

I have a problem where attempting to run Midori results in the message "An instance of midori is already running but is not responding."
I've searched for the process and I don't think it is there, and I have a rebooted which also doesn't help.

Any ideas?

The Internet speed in other browsers has appeared to have ground to a halt since this problem occurred.

It might be that your midori configuration has somehow corrupted.

Try deleting the configuration directory to start from fresh, but back it up first incase you have anything important bookmarked and such

The config can be found in /home/pi/.config/midori

If there's no midori running, and the file

exists, then delete the file

.config/midori/running

The you should be able to restart midori.

I deleted the midori files from .config/midori and it works fine. I had no bookmarks or anything so didn't really care.

Pleased to hear it's working. For future reference though, spennig's solution probably would have been all you needed to delete.

In my case it wasn't enough; it was an issue of no session dbus running. The problem appeared after midori crashed unexpectedly.
This was the solution to my problem.
