Not Enough Free Space?

Sun Nov 24, 2013 4:38 pm

I'm super excited to get Mathematica on my pi, but so far I've been unsuccessful.

I have a brand new 16GB SD card with the Google Coder Raspbian image on it and when I tried to install Mathematica I got this message:

Need to get 278 MB of archives.
After this operation, 588 MB of additional disk space will be used.
E: You don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/.

Let me know how to free up space in that directory and I swear I'll post a video tutorial to help other noobs with this installation!

Thanks in advance,

What does df -h report? I suspect you haven't expanded your partition to fill the entire card.

Return to “Mathematica”
