Downloadable documentation?

Will there be a way to download the documentation? I will be delivering Raspberry Pis to where there is very little connectivity so it is essential to have a local copy of documentation.

The problem I have is that the documentation (tutorial, references etc..) is online only but the people I will give the Pis to do not have internet access. Without documentation it's virtually impossible to fully utilize the power of Mathematica.

You can try to use somthing like httrack to 'make local copy of the online docs'
Then use a HTTPD like bussybox-httpd to view 'offline' the 'local copy'

Install a copy of xpdf on each machine and a web server on one of them and and you can pull lots of PDFs and serve them out to your network of RPi's.

You can get a lot of PDFs on a 32GB SDCard. With a Fuji USB SDCard reader you can add another 32GB card and fill that . With some careful planning you could get videos (as MP4s) and serve them out from one of your RPi's.

This century you shouldn't need to print on lots of dead pulped trees.

I downloaded the PDF documentation 3 years ago, when I accuired Mathematica Home Edition.
Total size <200MB.

I bought a used Mathematica book on an Ebay company (actually Tradera) and the exercises worked so far w/o problems in Raspberry Pi (including 3D-plots).

You can use wget to download a copy of the documentation. It will take a while. There are some good tips in an answer here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1112 ... e-websites.

I pulled down the Mathematica documentation from reference.wolfram.com/language and reference.wolfram.com/mathematica. It works well locally, except for the search function which depends on the actual server at Wolfram.

All of it weighs in at about 1.2 GB.
