Using the pi to automatically play a usb player

Fri Nov 22, 2013 9:01 am

Hello
My name is Michael, i have just bought a raspberry pi, which is getting delivered tomorrow. I was wondering if someone could help me with a project i am doing.
I have to do a sci fi type project in university, (i have to imagine technology that will be available in the future but show a representation of it now) sounds strange i know.

I wanted to be able to make a raspberry pi automatically play a video file when i insert a usb into it, i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to be able to do this?

[This comes into the project by the way as i am saying about keeping the brain alive in the future and being to live your life digitally rather than physically, so i am going to implant the usb in a 3D printed brain and when i place it on a homemade case with a pi attached, play the life which is being lived through the projector]

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards
Michael

Look at my Pi Presents, use the Liveshow.
