Camera Board not working after rpi-upgrade

Hi, yesterday night I tried to install uv4l (following http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/s ... e&artid=14), all installation worked well, but it wasn't working, so I ran "rpi-update" the update worked well, but now the camera does not work at all, not even with raspistill.

The error I'm getting now is that:

Is it possible to execute a downgrade of the firmware? I noticed that the script created a some backup files, but there was so many output I couldn't see all the backup files.

Thanks a lot! That is exactly my problem!

What is the best option to me to do a downgrade of the Kernel, so I can get the w1_gpio and the camera working (I'm using both at the same time)?

I searched for "linux-image" on the repositories, but none is installed, so using apt-get might not be the best option to downgrade the kernel.

I'm using raspibian.

last night and today i do new setup ( berryboot, raspbian, update, upgrade, )
and the camera works.
but after i do the rpi-update get error for camera:

and even the PUTTY SSH is broken?

any tip what i can check?
was there a recent change?

now i tested
other SD card, mini NOOBS, new setup
download install raspbian ( 30min / similar to berryboot )
desktop, SSH, camera enable, reboot
camera ok, update, camera ok, upgrade, same camera error! reboot: camera NO error
( there is a difference in the upgrade with berryboot and noobs,
in berryboot the boothack is hold back! with upgrade, but not with rpi-update!
changed: ARM/GPU split is now defined in /boot/config.txt using the gpu_mem option! )
rpi-update, reboot, camera and SSH OK!

seems that the newest raspbian makes berryboot incompatible?

I also have a problem since the last Raspian upgrade I made on Dec. 14th:
My former very stable script calling raspistill in a loop now produces black pictures after a while. After one to two hours the whole Pi crashes. So after reboot a can take several pictures from the comand line and then I get the black pictures.
After reading your thread here I'm can stop trying to set other option now and can wait for a patch.

Has this been resolved? Ever since raspi-upgrade, the camera LED stays red and no pics are taken.
