Thunar as default filemanager

I have tried unsuccessfully several methods of changing Thunar as the default file manager. I often forget and double click a folder icon and then have to close PCMAN, and then re-open with Thunar. Thunar is SOoo... much better!

Does anybody know what is needed to make thunar the default file manager when you click on a folder?
