Amiga emulation on Pi

Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:25 pm

Hi all,

I was a huge fan of the Amiga back in the old days. Since then I have used UAE a couple of years back and loved it. I just saw that there is a uae distro for the pi, uae4rpi.

I used the RetroPie script on Raspbian OS and compiled uae4rpi (which is the replacement for uae4all?). I installed a kick.rom and booted with a disk image attached. I looks like keyboard recognition is a problem (I use a USB keyboard that works fine on Raspbian) because no matter which key I press, nothing happens.

Does anyone have experience with uae4rpi? Do I have to configure the keyboard seperately in uae4rpi? I read the README's but could not find anything of use - regarding the keyboard. Does anyone have experience with using the xbox 360 controller with uae on rpi?

Does anyone know if the rpi is capable of 100% speed and sound emulation? Could I play for instance Speedball 2 at acceptable speed?

Thanks for any help!
