raspberry pi with wireless usb broadband

Good day! I would like to ask if i could use a wireless usb broadband to my pi.

Yes, that's what most people do. The current raspbian distribution supports most USB wlan sticks without problem. There is a list of tested wlan sticks at the wiki http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Wi-Fi_Adapters, but if you already have one then plug it in and see if it works.

Some sticks draw too much power and need to be plugged into a USB hub instead of the Rpi direct.

Recently I have had tried my tattoo usb wireless broadband to my pi while logging on desktop, i had inserted that usb it goes to something reboot or configuration i had read some messages that the pi detect that usb and at the bottom ...waiting to be populated and then the monitor received no signal and then coming back again and keep config. and this keep going again and again.
Do need a usb power hub?

Yes you would i have noticed that most modern USB modems need to be on an external hub
a 39 year old Geek with 32 years of geekdom
