Recovery SD card Raspi

Thu Sep 19, 2013 2:27 pm

I have found that my SD 8GB class 10 cars crash.
Raspi did not boot up. fdisk -l shows no partitions, and Windows did not recognize card.

How to recover data from that card? How to extract few files most important? How to mount SD without partitions?
How make iso image from SD in Windows 7 OS. Maybe copy ISO to fresh SD will help?

Disk /dev/sda: 8124 MB, 8124366848 bytes
250 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1023 cylinders, total 15867904 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Disk /dev/sda doesn't contain a valid partition table

I have made ISO files of entire SD card via dd command.
Any idea how to recovery data? Can you sugest me repair software for RPi linux partitions? (Like scandisk.exe)?

Making a dd-level backup just in case was a good first step :)
You'll need to use Linux rather than Windows, but did you try searching? e.g. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=linux%20corru ... m%20repair or https://duckduckgo.com/?q=linux+recover ... +hard+disk
