Analog Sound - Raspbmc Interference

Sat Sep 14, 2013 1:03 pm

Hi,

When using the latest version of Raspbmc installed via the installer they provide on Windows, I've discovered interference being transmitted out of the analog output when connected to speakers. I've done some research and found a thread with a "fix" by using a 10-100k resistor in series with the jack. I'm unsure about how to get rid of this "interference" and was wondering if any of you could help.

Thanks
- Owen.

It's usually caused by ripples in the power supply, try a different power supply

Hmmm, It cant be that as it happens with my other raspberry pi which is being powered by my solar inverter (modifed sine wave). There's no difference in the sounds between the two.
