Re: What kind of touchscreen

Hi guys,

first of all i must say i am jealous that i still can't order my Raspberry Pi and some of you guys are able to play around with it

I have a lot of ideas, and some of them are only possible with a touchscreen, but i am not sure what kind of screens are supported.

Are there any suggestions? Also what kind of connection is possible (USB,DSI,...)

Thx in advance

PS: Can not wait to finally lay my hands on one of those pi's

Greetings from Germany

Why can't you order a pi?  As far as I'm aware Germans have been able to pre-order and get in queue just like everyone else, right?

There has been a lot of talk about using small or touch screens with the pi.  I'd start with the custom google site search located on the top right of the home page and browse around for more info

Hi guys,

I'm from Germany, too

http://www.raspberrypi.org/for.....roid-touch

At the end of that thread I posted my idea for using a touchscreen with the RPi. Hopefully I will be able to build kind of a small tablet with these parts.

Well, building the hardware won't be my problem, I guess. But I am not sure if I will be able to build the necessary drivers with the GCC

Luckily I got an invitation to order my RPi 3 days ago, so I can try it in a few days
