Raspberry Pi and DTS HW decode status

Has the foundation abandoned plans for licensing DTS? What would be the most effective way for the community users like myself to help here? I'm willing to do my part if I can help!

I've sent an e-mail via this form and also posted to their Facebook page inquiring the status.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, though that's a very vague statement. Does this mean the Pi firmware is being optimized for SW decode or there is an ongoing dialogue to get DTS licensing sorted out?
