I have just purchased my Pi and have many great ideas for it but can someone tell me what I am proposing is actually possible. I wish to build a touch screen ATM like machine that houses a barcode scanner, the scanner scans a barcode on a sheet then the software displays a drivers trip, the driver can then enter his details on the screen (a form based system) then hit save, I know the Pi can be used for a barcode scanner and I'm aware if can be used with a touch screen device just wondering if anyone can share any light on my project and if it is possible what sort of work as in programming knowledge would it require.
