debian minimal without raspi-config: possible to install?

Sat Aug 10, 2013 3:37 pm

I am using a minimal debian image. This one:

Unfortunately it lacks raspi-config.
Is it possible or wise to install that?
Is there a tutorial for it?

apt-get install raspi-config ?
You can use the minimal distribution Moebius wich includes raspi-config

Yes you can install raspi-config from apt-get. You have to do it this way if you install using Raspbian Installer. It installs by default without it.

It will install parted among other things, so you can resize the root FS. I have tried this many ways on many images and have surprisingly never had a problem with raspi-config.
