i2C commands in Python

Thu Aug 08, 2013 12:18 am

Hello,
I am looking for a Python i2C command to write a 16 bit register with 16 data. That is I have a device address which is something like 0x36. Inside the device, there are 16 bit registers accessible by 16 bit address. Example:
Device address = 0x36
Register address = 0x0672
Data to be written = 0x7F16

Which command should I use with SMBUS? Please help!

You're best bet would be to post this question in the "Hardware and peripherals - Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.)" forum. I know it's a Python related question but it's kind of specialized so you'll probably have more luck there.

Cheers.
Dave.
