Network Manager Options Disabled

Thu Aug 01, 2013 2:25 pm

Hi, Sorry if this has already been covered! I have just got my raspberry pi and I am trying to get it to connect to my VPN I have been working on it for several hours and I have managed to get the network manager installed and the below list of commands...

sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn
sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn-gnome
sudo apt-get install network-manager-pptp and
sudo apt-get install network-manager-pptp-gnome
sudo apt-get install network-manager-strongswan
sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc
sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc-gnome

everything seems to be there but when I go into the network manager and click on the VPN tab and add VPN and hit create all the boxes for the settings a Greyed out! any help on this would be amazing as I have spent hours trying to figure it out?

Thanks in advance

Craig

I have the exact same problem. I installed everything and the option VPN is available in Network Connections, but when i select L2TP or OpenVPN the settings are greyed out.
