Internal temperatur sensor not working?

Hi!

I have made an script for mrtg that is going to make a graph of the temperature of the pi. I use this command:

vcgencmd measure_temp

But te problem is that the temperature is not changing depending of load of the system. Its allways 53-54 all day, even if i run the pi hard! Why?

I have several pis.
all of them show 40-45 all day everyday.
when I stick a cold finger on the processor, it reports 38C.
