just read this post on a blog and found it interesting.

i don't play many games, probably because i suck at them, i'll play doom, hexen, heretic, strife, quake1 in single player mode and a couple of webbased rpg's but that's it and sometimes i'll go months if not years without playing a game so i don't know what it's like these days especially with things like COD or WoW or ??? I did think we were reasonably nice in "the olden days" to the females in muds and moos, at least never heard any complaints from them when i was running a mud but maybe they just decided it wasn't worth the effort to complain.

Myeah looks like some people have some growing up to do..

On the other hand it's not really worth QQ'ing over. There will always be haters in games based on rivalry or PvP.

Way of the world I guess. Ditch those zeroes and go hang with some heroes.

Yeah, this happens in every sport (if video games count as a sport). Nothing to do with video games; everything to do with little boys who sometimes never grow up. It'll continue as long as there are little boys in the world.

My wife has been playing MMOs (Asheron's Call, Asheron's Call 2, Lord of the Rings Online) since 1998 without any significant incidents. But, then, Turbine tends to attract a somewhat more mature community than some other game companies.
