Which gamepad to buy?

I tried to get my Playstation Controller USB Adapter to work, but no luck. So I decided to buy a fitting gamepad instead. Which can you recommend? I want to use it with PiSNES.

I've been using an old Microsoft Sidewinder pad for retro games, since that controller is more like the controllers of that time period.

Just had a quick look on ebay and there is one going cheap; http://r.ebay.com/53uoKF
Since it's old the Linux driver for it is well used and well debugged, never had any problems with it.
