Paspi's raspi-config keyboard map

Mon Jun 24, 2013 3:31 pm

I have a mini keyboard from China which has the @ symbol above the figure 2 on the keyboard. The letters correspond to a 'normal' keyboard but the symbols keys are scattered around although they largely work. In trying to set up this in raspi-config, the shift-2 prints " instead of @. Of course, none of the proprietary makes shown in the config list mentions this mini thingy.. Can anybody please point me to somewhere I can see the Raspi's config keymap layouts for keyboards with the '2' + '@' combination so I can choose the nearest fit in order to use the mini keyboard? Or is there some folder I can hack to make a perfect match?

The usual keyboard layout that has "@" on shift-2 is the standard US one. Try that for a starter.

Thanks, I'm on to that but I'm trying to be a bit more adventurous, now, so really want to try to hack a keymap file to get into the <, > ,£, etc symbols as well, if I am not barking up the wrong tree?
