Pidora PXE Server Setup

Sun Jun 16, 2013 8:40 pm

Hello all,

I am working on getting a PXE boot server setup on Pidora but im running into a bit of a blocker with the syslinux package. I cant seem to find the package in the Pidora repo. Does any have any suggestions on where to find the package or a way to work around this or should I just try and compile the package myself?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated and I will be sure to post any solutions along with my full setup for a PI PXE boot server.

Hello,

Were you able to make your PXE boot server work?

I am trying to setup a Raspberry Pi as a PXE boot server to install CentOS 6.

Thanks!

Quick follow up - I am happy to report that I have the Raspberry Pi running dhcpd doing dhcp and bootp, tftpserver hosting the pxeboot files, httpd hosting the install, and we even got a kickstart on the httpd server after the first install so that the rest of the installs can proceed unattended.

Raspberry Pi is pretty amazing! It's a little slow, and this is where I wonder if a Beagleboard may be more appropriate. But it certainly does the job!

Very excited to have my first Raspberry Pi project be a success!
