XBMC minimized?

Tue Jun 11, 2013 1:26 pm

Hey all,

Would it be possible to have XMBC running in the background or minimized
and to be able to stream via AirPlay (audio) and that is only goes fullscreen
when you stream video via AirPlay?

I have the RPI running a website by default in fullscreen.

Many, many thanks in advance.

You can toggle fullscreen in XBMC using alt-\ (alt-backslash).

I'm not sure if your intention is to automate the full-screen switching but if you do then my only guess would be using a cool little tool called devilspie.

@DaveDriesen, thx. So from what I understand is that Devil's Pie I can
make a script for startup that minimizes XBMC. I'll start playing with that.
Hope it will auto-pop-up after sending a video via airplay to it.
